This month we turn to Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer, an unsung pioneer of hardcore music, to talk through his mind-bending blend of R&B, fusion, reggae, and punk rock. 

Victor Wooten continues to dig deep on a pair of new albums; we catch up to get hip to his latest trip. We also connect with ex-Incubus bassist Dirk Lance, whose unique approach to bass helped define the sound of that band from its earliest days.
